Sinopse
Este livro oferece uma análise abrangente e atualizada da certificação B Corp e enfatiza a sua relevância crescente na promoção da sustentabilidade empresarial. Aborda a evolução do B Lab e da certificação B Corp, incluindo informação sobre a recente revisão das normas de certificação (versão 7) (Capítulo I). O livro explora, ainda, os fundamentos teóricos da certificação B Corp, suportando-se em diversas teorias, tais como a teoria das partes interessadas, a teoria institucional e a teoria da legitimidade (Capítulo I). Estabelece comparações críticas entre a certificação B Corp e outros referenciais internacionalmente reconhecidos, tais como as normas ISO 9001 e a ISO 14001, destacando as suas complementaridades e especificidades (Capítulo II). Além disso, discute a sustentabilidade nas organizações, integrando conceitos como responsabilidade social corporativa e a economia circular (Capítulo III). O livro propõe ainda uma abordagem inovadora ao integrar a certificação B Corp com a filosofia Lean (Capítulo IV)e com os princípios da Indústria 5.0 (Capítulo V), reforçando a importância do bem-estar humano, do impacto positivo e da criação de valor partilhado. A componente final do livro apresenta estudos de caso reais de empresas portuguesas com certificação B Corp (Spring, Stone Soup Consulting e Aveleda), ilustrando os benefícios, dificuldades e estratégias adotadas na jornada de certificação (Capítulo VI). Destinado a investigadores, docentes e gestores, este livro constitui uma ferramenta essencial para compreender e aplicar a certificação B Corp como motor de transformação empresarial sustentável.
