Peer review

Proposal presentation

All proposals submitted (see Author Guidelines) will be subject to analysis by at least one member of the Editorial Board, designated by the Editorial Board Coordinator, whose opinion will subsequently be approved by all members of this Board, in a meeting.

Manuscript submission and approval

After approval of the proposal, the author must submit the version of the manuscript (with the names of two possible reviewers who are expertise in the area).

A new meeting of the Editorial Board is held to evaluate the submitted manuscript: the Editorial Board may reject or return the manuscript to the author before it is sent for peer review if the scope, structure or content doesn’t have enough quality.

The Editorial Board will also approve the suggested reviewers and/or suggest new ones (based on the reviewers' recognition in the relevant area).

Peer review

Manuscripts will go under open peer review process. Once peer review begins, authors are notified of the manuscript's acceptance, rejection, or required revisions. Manuscript may be returned to the author for revisions.

After the peer review process, the manuscript is edited by the Gabinete de Comunicação e Imagem where it will be styled and returned to the author for approval before it’s publication.
