Back to the future

The Santo Tirso artistic residency, entitled Back to the Future, brings together photographic, documentary, and fiction projects from the Master's program in Cinema and Photography at ESMAD, developed in 2024 in close collaboration with the territory, institutions, and local communities of Santo Tirso. The works explore themes such as the textile industry, work, religiosity, gender, local commerce, memory, and landscape, articulating cultural heritage, contemporary creative practices, and critical reflection on the relationship between people, places, and ways of life.
