Sever do Vouga: fotografia + cinema

This catalogue is the result of the Artistic Residencies in Sever do Vouga, carried out in 2019 as part of the Master's program in Audiovisual Communication at the School of Media Arts and Design (ESMAD – P.PORTO), in partnership with the Municipality of Sever do Vouga. The publication brings together projects developed by students in the areas of photography, documentary filmmaking, and fiction filmmaking, taking as their starting point the territory, the natural and cultural heritage, the local communities, and the social dynamics of the region. The collection of works explores themes such as memory, time, identity, work, landscape, and the relationship between art and community, reflecting creative processes in real-world contexts and artistic experimentation. The catalogue constitutes a record of the pedagogical and artistic practices developed during the residencies, as well as a contribution to the cultural and symbolic valorization of the territory of Sever do Vouga.
