Synopsis

Intermediartes: proceedings of the 6th International Conference on Media, Arts and Interaction brings together the texts presented at the 2024 edition of the event, dedicated to the theme “Ideas, Acts and Artifacts of Freedom”. The publication compiles articles that explore the relationship between arts, technology and interaction, addressing practices such as audiovisual installations, generative art, video games, brain–computer interfaces, audiovisual instruments, and light‑ and space‑based projects. The contributions discuss artistic research methodologies, immersive and participatory experiences, as well as the role of media arts in democratizing creation, including audiences with physical limitations, and renewing educational and critical approaches in contemporary art.
