Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another press for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The manuscript submission file is in the Microsoft Word, according to the template provided.
  • Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines, which is found in About the Press.
  • The proposal submitted, within the scope of the Support Program for the Publication of technical-scientific books, must have a maximum of 2000 words.

Author Guidelines

NOTE: Theses and dissertations will not be accepted for publication.

 

In the first phase, you must submit the proposal (maximum 2000 words) which, after verification by the Technical Committee of the Centro de Cultura, will be analyzed/evaluated by the Editorial Board.

 

If the proposal is accepted, the manuscript must be submitted in Microsoft Word, using  this model.

 

It is mandatory that the work contains the name(s) of the author(s), institutional affiliation, ORCID, summary with up to 200 words in Portuguese and English, in addition to up to five keywords in both languages.

Images, graphics and visual materials must be sent in TIFF format with 300 dpi in color, and submitted separately from the manuscript. In the second step of submission, the appropriate document type will be selected. In the manuscript, the exact location of the visual material and the correct correspondence must be indicated, with the respective captions inserted in the text and numbered sequentially.

Mathematical formulas will only be accepted if they are saved as an image.

Footnotes should be avoided. If necessary, they should be brief and concise, inserted into the text using the footnote tool.

Bibliographic references must be structured in accordance with APA standards (American Psychological Association), 7th ed. It is advised to use the Endnote bibliographic reference manager (web version). Note: Registration is only possible within the range of institutional IPs or via VPN. If you are already registered with Web of Science, you can use the same account. For any questions, you may consult this Manual.
